Cannon Beach, Oregon Sept. 2009

We are staying in Seaside, Oregon. Cannon Beach is just a few miles south. One of the noted features of the area is Haystack Rock. It is a huge rock (235 feet tall) right on the Beach. 
At low tide you can get real close. It is a protected Marine Garden, so you cannot climb on it. 
There are other rocks nearby.

Tillamook Rock Lighthouse sits a mile off shore.
