Cedar Breaks
May 2009

Cedar Breaks is located a few miles north of Hurricane, UT.and our RV Park.   Due to the high elevation (over 10,000 feet), the Park generally does not open until the first of June.  This year it opened Memorial Day week-end.  This is the first year that we have been in the area late enough for us to visit.

Cedar Breaks is like a miniature Bryce Canyon.  It is only about 5 miles in length.

The Park lies at over 10,000 feet in elevation and receives 12 to 15 feet of snow during the winter months.  The 5 mile
road through the Park is  closed from late October to June.

There are 4 overlooks in the Park.

Just outside the Park is Brian Head Ski Resort.  There is a chair lift going up the mountain on the left face.
