The Royal Gorge Bridge was built in 1929. It is the world's highest suspension bridge. It towers 1,053 feet above the Arkansas River. It is 1,260 feet long and 880 feet between the two 150 towers.
The Incline Railroad was built in 1931. It is the world's steepest incline. 1550 feet at an 45-degree angle.
The Aerial Tram is the world's longest single span tram at 2,200 feet.
While we were at the bridge, a group of daredevils were bungee jumping. They stated that they got within 50' of the river. A 1000 foot jump....Wow!!! Not for me....
